About The Ultimate Goal ::TUG::

South African Sports Coalition (SASCOL) is an initiative by predominantly church leaders representing a large consituancy of South African churches.  Riding on the excitement of the 2010 event, numerous partnership strategies have been launched to capture the golden opportunity of transforming the youth of Africa through values and behavioural change.

The Ultimate Goal (TUG) is a project of SASCOL and is the outreach initiative taking place during June and July 2010.  TUG is a network of local and international churches, para-church organisations and ministries all working together on one common goal: to bring hope and change to South Africa.

Spreading the Word on bread!

Friday, 09 July 2010 12:59

It started with a loaf of bread and a view of the ocean....

Peter had a dream in Frankfurt, Germany 18 years ago. That dream would lead him thousands of miles away -- to Cape Town, South Africa.

“At the end of 2008, I dreamed I was in a truck on a long journey,” he said. “I saw a beach, so I stopped the truck to relax. I saw the beautiful ocean, and heard a little boy say, ‘That is South Africa, sir. That is South Africa!’”

For 18 years, Peter struggled to make ends meet, but always kept this vision in mind -- God wanted him to travel to South Africa on outreach. He decided to get creative. He took one loaf of bread and turned it into a venue for spreading God’s word.

LUCIO:
Does believing in Jesus make a difference?

Believing in Jesus has brought a total change to my life. Before I knew Jesus I did not have a disciplined life. I had low self-esteem.  I did not have confidence in the things that I did day by day.  Today I want to walk with the Lord and have a purpose for my life.  That gives me the discipline to persevere towards my goals.
What words of the Bible inspire you?

There is a passage in Psalm 1 that says:

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season.

I think this verse reflects my life, because everything has happened for me at the right moment.

I’ve also known the presence of the Lord, and his guidance in keeping me from mocking God.

NEW BELIEVERS: WELCOME!
