Something all men and women need to be made aware of to become truelly

successful for God, is How God's protection works, see below

God loves us unconditionally, no matter what we do, God will still love us,

but there are principles upon which God's protection works.

Shadrack, Mishak & Abednego went through a fiery furnace, not because there

was sin in their lives but because God allowed it to happen to grow their

faith and also for others to see the strength and character of his true

worshippers and believers, and for us to see that during the fiery furnaces

of life God himself will be with us as there was a fourth person with the

three of them in the middle of the fiery furnace, and that fourth person was

Jesus, and not one of the hairs on their bodies was singed and they enjoyed

God's piece and protection amidst the fire, but the kings guards who threw

them into the fire were burnt to death in their haste to get rid of them on

the King Nebuchadnezzar's orders.

And sometimes, we need to be prepared to make sacrifices in this world for a

good cause, just Like Jesus Christ was prepared to be tortured and even give

his life to pay the price for our sins.

But there are times in our lives when we are experiencing tribulations due

to there been sin in our lives, Jesus said if you so much as look with lust

in your eyes, you are committing adultery before God, we should not even hug

in a way in which we enjoy that hug more than what we should, as this is sin

before God and removes the shield (Prov 2:7) that God puts over us, that's

when Satan is able to enter your life and rob you of God's peace, either

through your health, finances or family.

Also God who is a just God and without partiality blesses us for living

according to his standards and curses us when we live according to our own

manmade standards that invloves sin.Deut 26, 27, 28 & Rev 2:22-24 - Jesus

explains to John how he'll deal with the New Testament Church if they

entertain sin or become luke warm.

The key is to discern by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, are you going

through a fiery furnace for God to grow you or are you going through

tribulations due to something in your life not been right with God.

Your sins also affect the shield over your children, David had an affair

with a woman, and had her husband killed and as a result God pronounced

through his prophet that the child from the affair won't live and the child

died after 7 days after been born.

On a macro economic level (nation wide), the children will grow up facing

the consequences of the sins of their parents on a national level.

Generational curses are also passed down for up to four generations, (Exodus

20).

Just to expand on a national level, as we as a society drift further from

God and God's word so we as people become more disorientated ito what is

right and what is wrong, and are more prone to developing our own values

that are contrary to the Word of God and become more wicked and perverted

and are more prone to the influence of Satanic forces, and this is when

things happen such as the Holocaust(millions of Jews were killed by Nazi

Germany) and roughly a million Cambodians were killed by Pod and his regime

in their domination, and in Rwanda roughly a million Hutu's and Tutsi's

killed each other from racial tensions and so the list goes on.

God is not going to just fix this world on his own, he gave us mankind the

power and authority to rule this world in a partnership with him, if we

don't do our part he won't do his, as the initiative is with us, we've been

given the right to choose to partner God or not to partner God, its our

choice.

Its our choice to partner in a constant relationship through prayer,

holiness(living according to the word) and fasting, which unleashes God's

power to influence people positively and reduce the power and influence of

Satanic forces.

The Goodnews is that when we truly repent through the blood of Christ, the

sins are washed away and eternal life is inherited and a new beginning is

put in process, where you work through the consequences of your sin(e.g.

former drug addict will work on getting spiritually strong again etc or as

nation, the nation will begin to heal and move forward) and heal from past

sins and start to move forward in Jesus name.

Sin takes many forms:

lust (fornication, homosexuality(Jesus said marriage is between a man and a

woman.), adultery, lust of the eyes, even hugging someone in a way in which

you enjoy the hug more than what you should who is not spouse etc)

greed( chasing money, not tithing, stealing etc)

envy , covetnous, jealousy, pride, sloth, cruelty, idolatry, bearing false

witness, lying etc

idolatry(making anything else your god other than the true living God (The

Father, The Son & The Holy Spirit)

Abortion (Jer 1:4 - I knew you before I formed you in your mothers womb)

then its safe to say at the moment of conception there is life.

Murder, including bearing malice, having hate for another person, also

killing as a act of war/military action = sort things out in a non violent

unbiased way - see page on Prayer & Fasting for more on this.

Sin of omission i.e. not doing what you know you ought to do or not doing

what God has told you to do etc.

Blasphemy(using the lord's name in vain)

Cursing people(wishing ill toward someone or cursing them with the tongue)

Disrespect for parents, you don't always have to agree, but when you

disagree, do it in a respectful manner, (where abuse is involved please get

your pastor and the local authorities involved)

Witchcraft, Ancestral worship, Soothsayer, Mysticism, (there is one mediator

between man and God and that is Jesus Christ, the correct way to pray when

asking for guidance is to our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ

by the guidance of the Holy Spirit.) Also please note, Satan comes as a

angel of light, or pretends to be your dead loved one to deceive u so when

you entertain these spirits, it opens the door for satanic influences in

your life, stay away from this, rebuke these spirits in the name of Jesus

Christ and then go into worshipping God if they come to you. If you want

advice, ask the Holy Spirit, if you have a loved one that has passed on,

stop worrying about them, it won't change anything, leave this stuff alone,

its extremely dangerous, this weapon of Satan is getting stronger and

stronger in these dangerous times we are living in. Jesus spoke to Elisha

and Moses on the mountain, Jesus been God can do this, none of us of are God

and are expresslly not given permission to entertain this stuff, so leave it

alone.

please raise awareness of these teachings, our nation is getting crippled

with HIV/AIDS and broken marrianges because people think they can do as they

like as long as there is mutual consent(including safe sex), they are

unaware of the spiritual consequences that manifest with

sickness/death/desease/lack/poverty and destruction

4th December 2009, a long time ago but a significant day on the FIFA calendar – it marked what many believe to be the beginning of World Cup 2010 TM in South Africa, and TUG was there…

Imagine this: There’s a Long street, smack in the middle of Cape Town that has two landmark bookends - The Convention Centre on one end and a Church on the other. The volume in the middle was a glow of vibrant colour that one could almost smell, (2-storey puppets, national flags, decorated hats & Vuvuzelas, banners cascading over balconies) – a potpourri of languages that would have been foreign on most other days but was strangely coherent that day. Then there was the music, the resonance that came from those enormous speakers that teleported what was happening on the stage as-well-as the sound of thousands of revellers being a part of history. Many of them just happened to be well lubricated (with alcohol) or were making their way to that end… all of this with Table Mountain providing the perfect backdrop.

I took two interesting pictures of a sign post. It read: “Lost and Found”. What made these pics so interesting was the group of people stationed in front of it. They, like most of the crowd, were armed with the prerequisite lubrication. When they saw me aiming my camera in their general direction, one guy stuck up his hand covering the word “Found” so that the sign read “Lost and”. I took another pic - no hands this time so it read, “Lost and Found”. That little word “Found”, instantly grew in meaning.

45 minutes earlier, I was part of a small TUG group inside one of those bookends. We were praying. It seemed like the right thing to do. To be honest, I can’t really remember what prayers I offered. Seeing that sign however changed everything.  The event was so much more than just a great time, meeting people from other nations, being interviewed by reporters, chatting to a guy whose face was too small for his smile & just happened to be wearing a 25kg hat adorned with telephones, eggs, vuvuzelas and half a shopping mall. It was so much more than just an international event. There was a sign.

So I was glad to have been there - glad to be reminded that Jesus came to seek and save the lost  - and that I have a role in that process of the Lost being Found…

This morning was one-of-those mornings… when things just don’t work according to plan. We thought we had enough time to do all we had to and get to church on time…

Noticed that we were out of cereal. Aaarh! Decided to surprise my Bride by making French Toast. Looked for bread and found some lurking around in the fridge. Would have been a great plan except that it just  didn’t come out the way I had envisioned it.

While I was slaving away, the front door bell screamed, which in turn sent my two rather large dogs seething to the front gate, a rather pleasant welcoming committee they are. Do I investigate or do I try to rescue the soon-to-be burnt offering materialising on the stove???

It was Brian at the gate. He appears ever so now and again in need of food. This time, his timing really sucked though. I was hacked off. The two large beasties sensed this and tried to inhale Brian through the gate. True to his character, the unflappable Brian politely asked for some food as he was rather hungry. A “Not today” silo was launched from the general direction of my mouth just before I strode back in a huff – instantly sensing that I had thrown away an opportunity to make Jesus proud. Seconds later, the still warm French Toast refused to enter the airspace of my mouth…

I ran back to the gate as fast as my hand-me-down size 7 sheep skin slippers could propel me so that I could intercept Brian, apologise to him and share a meal with him. He was gone. It was as if he had simply dematerialised.

Tracy must have seen my dejection because she silently prayed that someone would give Brian food. No later had she done this than we heard the doorbell screaming again, triggering the two Beasties into action as official welcoming agents. It was Brian, asking for water.

God had answered Tracy’s prayer, but not exactly in the way we had planned. He had taken care of Brian’s need for food and to be treated with respect. God also showed me that He prepares so many opportunities for me to make Jesus proud…

To the TUG Team
Thanks again for answering God’s call on your life with regards to this amazing 2010 opportunity. This is going to be a faith-filled, faith stretching adventure of note. It’s important for us all to remember that we are part of a Team and a family and that none of us should attempt any of this on our own. Therefore we need to encourage and support each other as we hear and obey what God wants us to do and to be.

We spoke the other day to two ladies who headed up the Christian creative arts outreach during the Beijing Olympics as well as
during several of the other past Olympics. We thought it would be good to share some of their words of wisdom…

OUR OVERALL PURPOSE

  • To glorify God
  • To introduce people to Jesus
  • To encourage the Church to be the Church
  • That’s what it’s all about. Everything we do and who we are, is geared towards that purpose. For we do not preach ourselves but Jesus Christ as LORD, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. (2Cor 4:5)
  • There seems to be growing interest from international Christian artists to link arms with us during 2010. I imagine a great smile on our Father’s face as we, the Bride, bring light into dark places. Please dedicate yourself to cover this in prayer. Pray that we, the Church, may constantly hear God, for courage to follow Him and that we would make Jesus proud, especially in 2010…

Lights! Camera! Action! - the immortal words on a film set... just some of the fun we were having this past weekend.

Why, you may ask? We pretty much took over the Van Kalker photo studio at the Wynberg Home Affairs. I can only imagine what some of the patrons were thinking as Clowns and Dancers and Flags and Guitars and Ballerinas and even Shakespeare roared to life in vibrant colour... (just imagine, you're sitting in line waiting to have your I.D. picture taken and you see this 6 foot clown walking by. Just before he disappears around the corner into what must be Wonderland, he turns around to reveal an illuninated smile that's way to big for his face - and you find a bewildered smile creasing yours...)
We were doing a photo / film shoot to promote the TUG Arts in Action! DVD. There were all kinds of Christian artists, all shapes and sizes, younglings and not so younglings. It was wonderful to hear the stories from these variuos artists, why they were involved in their art, how art reflected the Lord God Most High and how they thought He would utilise the Arts in 2010. Interesting thing is that these stories were also heard by those waiting to have their I.D. and passport pictures taken. It was six hours of hard work, but oh my word, what fun...
And so the Greatest Story that's ever been told was heard by those curious about the Wonderland... and it will continue being told as we creatively communicate Christ!
So peeps, thats all for now
Go well
