Projects and Programmes
What can your church do in 2010? The Projects and Programmes Workgroup is there to provide a framework, give ideas and suggestions, while also allowing churches and Christian groups from accross South Africa to develop their own visions and strategies but, to partner and come under the umbrella of The Ultimate Goal.
Have you developed a 2010 Event related outreach programme and would like to make it available to The Ultimate Goal network?

TUG Prayer Letter of 6 June 2010
Dear Partners,
Inspiring Quotes
1. 2 Timothy 2: 20 – 21 says “In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honourable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.”
Each one of us is expensive utensils being used by the Master for a very special occasion to hit the African continent – the World Cup
2. The prayer power has never been tried to its full capacity. If we want to see mighty wonders of divine power and grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure and disappointment, let us answer God's standing challenge, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not!'" (J. Hudson Taylor)
3. "Satan does not care how many people read about prayer if only he can keep them from praying. Paul E. Billheimer
We want to invite you to partner with us bringing the following requests before the Father:
1 .Prayer is needed for an initiative that is taking place at the OR Tambo Airport.
- The chapel at the airport has been ‘reclaimed’ and people are busy cleaning it and restoring it. This will be another ‘House of PRAYER’ as they want to have a team available 24 hours a day to minister at the airport.
- The contact person for this ministry is TriciaTel: (011) 975 – 8491 Cell: 071.164.0927.
She wrote:
“We are at present in the process of encouraging Churches, Organizations and groups to mobilize "teams" i.e. 3 people to take time on the Roster for this Ministry. The motivation for 3 people is to have one to be available to pray in the Chapel and to cover the floorwalkers in prayer, and the other two to be floorwalkers.
Our task to be a Christian presence at ORT over this entire period is a huge challenge so any manpower from your colleagues would be wonderful. At a Meeting at the Airport this week one of the active Christians that works at ORT stated that "This area is at present a Spiritual War Zone. South Africa has invited the world to attend the Soccer World Cup 2010.Not all of the visitors will be interested in the soccer - they will be here with other agendas!"
Only by prayer can we address this situation holistically.”
2. We need more 24/7 PRAYER HOUSES around the country in as many towns and townships as possible. Please ask God to rise up key people in this regard.
Praise the Lord that there is now a 24/7 venue in all the major stadium cities.
Information:
- THERE IS A 24/7 House of Prayer Centre in Kenilworth, Johannesburg. 147 Fraser Star, Kenilworth.
- This is the information regarding this church. “Our church will be co-coordinating a prayer chain on 3 days per week for 24hours. This will operate on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 24 hrs per day, each week, with 72 people taking one hour slots throughout the duration of the day.
- Added to this we will prepare a Boiler Room in one of our rooms within the church property, The people in the prayer chain have to option to pray at home or in the Boiler Room, each of them will be given prayer packs with prayer topics and ways to pray the Word, Praise, Intercession and Petition.
- The boiler room will be opened during the day, every day and 'on call' at night. (That just means to ring a bell, and someone will open). This will be opened to anyone, anytime, everyday for the duration of the World Cup!
- Thank you for giving us the opportunity to partner with you in this.
- Trust this is all you require. The contact people are: Desiree Schrickker 084 6060 134 or Frederick 072 352 6603.”
Please continue to pray with us for:
All the TUG Conveners and Teams for personal health, safety, energy and to be completely filled with and guided by the Holy Spirit for the weeks of their outreaches and responsibilities during the World Cup.
Each and every church, or organisation, which are involved in The Ultimate Goal outreaches from now until after the World Cup. For them to have enough resources that their outreach may be successful in winning souls for Jesus Christ and that the new relationships between people, churches and communities are blessed and lasting.

We need prayers that cause a shift and a breakthrough, allowing us to pass from one stage of our God-given destiny and break through into another level.
We have to make use of every opportunity while we can.
PRAY, PRAY, and pray more!

Anti-Human Trafficking & Modern-day Slavery Campaign
Humble Pie Entertainment
13 May 2010- South Africa
HUMAN TRAFFICKING is the exploitation of human beings by selling them for sex, bonded labour or domestic servitude. HUMAN TRAFFICKING is the currently the fastest growing money making scheme in the world - you can only sell drugs and guns once, but a human being you can keep on selling for years on end! Human-trafficking in South Africa is a very serious trans-national and global crime that takes place in and around borders of the country. South Africa has become a source, destination and transit country for human-trafficking and related crimes as it is perceived in and outside the continent as the economic giant in Africa. Governments, businesses, NGOs and citizens everywhere have a responsibility to work together to address this modern-day slavery.
Humble Pie Entertainment is running an Anti-Human Trafficking campaign as they release their latest film “A Dance For Bethany” that will improve and align co-ordination between governments and organizations that work in the pledge to fight trafficking.
THE 2010 SOCCER WORLD CUP and TRAFFICKING:
In the light of the 2010 Soccer World Cup, the issue of trafficking is really a hot topic in South Africa at the moment. History has proven that the sex industry booms during these international events and because there usually aren’t enough prostitutes to “service” the fans, women and children are tricked into the industry to meet the demand. In South Africa, the scenario is no different... We need to act now and show the world that we do not approve this “modern-day slavery”!
