THERE IS STILL TIME TO GET INVOLVED
There is still time to get involved!!
Throughout the country there are great TUG outreaches planned!
We receive calls for more Christians volunteers to get involved. Please take a moment and think about these calls
Is this not where God wants you to get involved???
Some of the outreaches calling on volunteers are:
Better World Village(Tshwane Leadership Foundation): Who will be running an outreach for the duration of the World Cup in Burgers Park, Pretoria. Contact person Kathrin on 082 534 8642
YWAM in Cape Town: There are many teams who are getting the chance to come here and serve during the World Cup here through YWAM. However even our own base combi was recently stolen and stripped over the weekend. In order to take teams to places like townships for soccer camps and more, we're going to need vehicles and even the opportunity of places for people to stay. I suggested churches especially in this local area of Muizenberg, Fish Hoek, etc. If you have any suggestions or ways to help, please let me know asap. Thank you, Noel at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
Hatfield Outreach (Pretoria): The Team is looking for people that can serve their teams with soup/coffee/tea. They will have 25-30 team members on a shift, 6 outreaches during the World Cup. Hannes: 083 443 0278
Tshwane Leadership Foundation:Has Human Trafficking awareness posters. They are looking for people that are willing to take a few posters (free) to put up in public places where they have permission to do so. Service Base Church
The Service Base Church (SBC) concept has been developed as a strategy to use church resources in Host Cities as bases for TUG outreach initiatives.
The aim is to develop a national network of SBC’s in order to have a platform for the sharing of information in order to facilitate effective outreach through these strategically placed venues.
SBC’s should develop their own programmes, but TUG are also requesting that these churches avail their facilities to the broader body of Christ.
The vision is to have at least one Service Base Church for each Playing Venue, and one for each official Public Viewing venue or Fan Zone. In a city where there is more than one SBC near a venue, we would seek to have leaders from those churches working together on a combined strategy (this is happened in Tshwane between Dutch Reformed and Baptist churches near Loftus for the Confederation Cup). The strategy must always be inclusive of churches and Christian ministries that wish to partner in this initiative.
